Yesterday was warm! By afternoon, we could go outside in just sweatshirts! The girls and I rode/walked around the block several times, and it was so funny to see the neighbors emerging from their houses too... We were like little moles coming out into the light or an animal coming out and stretching after a long hibernation.

Kylie and Ari said their verse (Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.) and sang two songs on Sunday night at Grandpa and Grandma's church. They have been going to PeeWee Club on Wednesday nights there. They were so excited to perform in front of everyone. Kylie said she was a little nervous, but Ari said she wasn't... :)They were cute! :)Jason's cousin April is their teacher.

Cool Site

I found this while searching for 100's day ideas.... Tip Junkie It looks like it's full of cool ideas. I can't wait to look around in here some more...

Look at this idea that they had for a twin shower:
Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the Dr. Seuss book! So clever for a twin's birthday!

Grandpa got a dog last night! I'm so happy that he did! He always seems to brighten up when he sees our dog, and I think he needs some company. He took care of Grandma for so long, and I think he gets lonely and bored now. This pretty little boxer will give him someone to care for and give him lots of love too!! And, maybe Ninja will have a girlfriend in the future!! ;) Puppies would be so fun!!!!!

just be nice

I know that I should probably not be taking pictures while driving, but I loved the sticker on this windshield. It said, "Just be Nice." Now, wouldn't that make everyone's day better if everyone tried to do this while they were driving or shopping or working? :)

So, one thing that I really need to figure out is how to get our house clean.... Thankfully, we don't have a huge house; so, this should be do-able. I just need a plan. I get overwhelmed when I clean one room only to find another looking terrible. I want to have it be organized so that I can start re-decorating Ari's bedroom and the white room. So, I found some helpful sites on the daily digi's article "Living with Less" I liked Fly Lady's "How to Declutter" and Martha Stewarts "100 Reasons to Get Rid of it" (this one has some places that you can help out with your stuff- something that I am always wanting to do but don't know where to send it to)! So, if I'm feeling better tomorrow, I plan to start small like Fly Lady suggests... set the timer for 1/2 hour and divide the stuff up... maybe I will start in the playroom.

I don't really like that word, but I guess that's what this is....

I was inspired by Audrey Neal's blog entry. Instead of yearly goals maybe monthly would be more attainable.

So, here are my goals for February:

1. Continue exercise
2. Count calories (around 1,300 a day).
2. Read another book in the Bible.
3. Visit Jas' Grandma Maggard at least once.
4. Write two Saturday letters.
5. Email or call my Grandpa once a week.
6. Read with the girls more- finish at least one chapter book.
7. Have Kylie complete a reading chart with me.
8. Begin to declutter our house.
9. Start re-decorating Ari's room.

I will check back in at the end of the month with how I did. :)
I could use all the kicking in the pants anyone wants to contribute on #1 & #2 (and a lot of prayer for some sort of weight loss! It's so frustrating sometimes!)

Reasons for loving this month:

** Today's the superbowl- and the Steelers are in it!!!!**

**It's my birthday on the 9th. **

** Valentines Day!!!**

** The displays at Target - all red and pink and hearts!**

* The winter is almost over in Ohio when this month ends!*
* Valentine's Day*
* Making Valentines*
* Cute candy*
* Making a Sweetheart candy trail *

*We are going to redo Ari's bedroom*
*Adorable clothes in the kid stores*
*Valentine's Day- the day that I kissed Jas for the first time 9 years ago!*
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
I Corinthians 13:4-8A
Now, if I could only feel better.... this month would be perfect! Tonight, we are having Jeremy, Nicole, Josh, and Alison over. I'm excited to have them over, and maybe with enough Advils, I will be able to enjoy our superbowl party... I wish that I could have made something fun for it, but I don't feel up to it...
